I rewatched Some Kind of Monster the other night, well part of it it's hard to get through, but one of my favorite moments is when they're in the studio and Lars is being a douche about James' "stock riff". James is the heart and soul of the band. But Lars has shaped many songs for the better. I'm sure he's fine to talk to in person. He's one of those guys that doesn't come across well in interviews.
That said, I just tried to listen to this for a few minutes and it is just awful. Lou Reed is just terrible.
