Schindler's List was a hard one. I would say Schindler's was tough on a macro level, the enormity of it all, and this was tough on a micro level.

Because of all my time downrange, war movies have a different effect on me. I find solace in even the most brutal ones. War is kinda fricked up like that...

Great performance in a very meh movie. There is a moment where the script shows real promise only to finish with nary a splash. Typical Aronofsky pretentious dribble with no message. If you like flawed characters with no redemption this is the movie for you. The two good characters (missionary, the nurse) are tossed aside in the end.

I thought it was pretty bad. Had a tough time feeling sorry for the dude . Maybe I’m just an a-hole.
