Going to see the movie this Sunday for the Amazon Prime early viewing. The reviews I've seen seem to agree that the movie is very much a DnD campaign; Its adventurers in over there heads making lots of stupid decisions yet somehow coming out on top in the end. Seems fun. I hope it does well so we can get a sequel. The Forgotten Realms setting is as rich and has the historical depth of Marvel, DC, or any other setting. It is long overdue for a good run on the screen. If it makes over 200m, it will be considered a success worthy of more investment.

Not saying it can't still be good with that, just saying it is eyeroll-inducing. Chris Pine is beta af anyway.
