re: Miller can't shoot, definitely can't play defense and he turns the ball over.

I know the history of players production with compared to without Wade or players that he’s spoken highly of and it’s very heavily leaning in one direction. I also know when you constantly put any player in bad situations it’s hard for them to be productive.

Perfect example was him not playing Phillips tonight after what he did in the second half last night. That kind of thing went on all year in literally every game to some degree. The guy is in so far over his head I feel sorry for him.

I have been EXTREMELY critical of CMM's rotations, especially in the front court.

That being said, I specifically mentioned our guards were abysmal. Yes, I agree that Phillips should have played more. That doesn't change the fact that all of our guards suck. At least Trae plays with heart and hustle.

Our guards suck because the offense they’re in puts them in terrible spots and they aren’t coached very well to begin with.

He was my inspiration for the last Adam Miller argument we all had.

We're talking about practice man, not a game, practice. How silly is that?

Yes I agree they are poorly coached. That being said, I think the one player above all else in our back court that has been given good looks is Adam. A close second would be Ward.

Those are two different things plus our 3pt% is up this year from most recent years so again that’s a different topic. Hayes didn’t shoot great tonight and wasn’t good from the line but had a productive game. Hannibal shot 33% from the field yet had a good game, why? Because for a little over half the game, while it was still in question, they were provided space and the opportunity to get downhill. You guys are so obsessed with ancillary aspects of the results you’re not paying attention to what creates the positive results we’re looking for.

The most frustrating part is watching teams give us loads of space around the FT line while we try and force the ball into the corner. He’s so predictable that opposing coaches are willing to give us the one spot you can’t give an offense because they know he won’t take advantage of it.

I can confidently say our team last year couldn't shoot either, but we played insane defense and could score on the interior super well.

Yes I agree. The same predictable shite. Shawn would get the ball at the free throw line and then our guards would sit in the corner and wing a terrible pass into the paint, across the court, our back up top. Very, very, predictable. We did it yesterday against Georgia too. Again, I'm keeping the criticisms I have for Adam separate from spots where it was coaching that put him in a bad spot.

Yea, we mostly agree and I agree he didn’t shoot the ball well this year, my thing is the problems aren’t exclusive to him. I think he’s just another sign of the overall theme.

Thank you.

We're all a bit distraught on what our team/program is right now, but I enjoy a good laugh to offset. AI was like WTF are you guys talking about.

Yes I don't think its all his fault. He certainly has taken a good number of shots that were late in the shot clock or due to poor coaching putting him in a bad spot on the court.

My criticism, like I said, primarily comes from him missing when he's open or him making bad decisions with lots of shot clock left.

Again, I'm sure that coaching could help this, and I'm not denying that. But I think entirely blaming CMM is foolish. That's not to say he doesn't deserve the majority of the blame or whatever.

Another thing that angers me is the practice narrative. That shite is stupid and needs to stop being said. It's practice, not a game.

Yes it’s a mix of both but you have to remember it’s the player who’s operating within the structure the coach designs. Guys like Gaines couldn’t shoot, Skyler Mays couldn’t hit the ocean if he fell out of a boat during SEC play in 2019 but they were still productive players because of the framework they operated in.

I remember and called it out initially. That's how we get to know each other. I see your passion and appreciate it. Doesn't mean we see eye-to-eye, but as LSU Basketball fans, we need to stick together.

I don't blame you for calling me out, as I was a new account and I was unaware of the climate on TD at the time.

I am extremely passionate about LSU basketball and as such I have strong opinions that might not be held by other fans. That is okay, as disagreement is human nature.

That being said, at the end of the day, we just want to win, and we're all here for the ride.

So look, it seems McMahon isn’t going to be the answer long term. The guy I wanted to hire and I believe will probably be gone by the time we’re looking but might have an outside chance to hire next go round is Paul Mills. He was on Scott Drew’s staff at Baylor, got hired at Oral Roberts, rough go first two years then he makes the sweet 16 in 2021 by knocking of #2 seeded Ohio State then #7 Florida then loses by 2 to Arkansas to get to the elite 8. He’s improved every year, offense is in the top 10 every year, #3 this year. Top 10 in 3s every year and is 30-4 right now, about to get an at large bid for Oral fricking Roberts. He’s the guy we should’ve hired and we should hire next. Check him out, his sweet 16 run games are on YouTube. Let me know what you think.

Sucks because I really liked CMM as a hire and he seems like a super nice guy.

I went to the Pistol Pete statue unveiling with some friends (we were like the only college-aged people there, go figure) and he took a picture with me and we had a small chat, even when he was pressed for time and he didn't have to.

That really made me like the guy and I want nothing more than him to succeed, but it seems like he's not the guy.

I respect that and it's unusual normally. Lot's of us have endured the years of terrible basketball and trolls on TD telling us how great CJJ is still great (this is a Joneshoyang joke). The narrative that Will Wade can't coach a lick and Coach Mc was the second coming.

All we want to do is win. There were literally posters yesterday upset that we (fan like me) weren't upset beating UGA. Like you're pissed at me because we won - and I wanted to win?
