What cities could you “see” in 2ish days?
Looking for cities that aren’t a giant 11 hour flight after a connection away.
Canada
Mexico
Norther South America
Western Europe
Caribbean
Central America
Etc.

I have to be honest, the premise of your thread and the choices you submitted don't match up.
I know not everyone can take 2/3 week trips (I certainly can't), but unless I'm reading this wrong these seem like a lot of effort for little squeeze? Does the 4 days include travel, meaning two days on the ground in London? You can't at least squeeze a whole business week off work and take advantage of the weekends?

In what universe are those 3-4 day trips???
You’d be flying for at least 2-3 days on most of them. What an insane list.
A 2 day trip from MSY is like Biloxi.
A 4 day trip is like Austin or Miami.
Your list is a big fat “what”

Wanted to keep the question simple but since you asked.
I can fly anywhere I want for free. I don’t intend to take my 15 month old so if the wife and I only need to pay for a place to rest our heads, where might you recommend to check out for a couple/few day stint?
I’m all about long trips… just took a 31 day trip to Italy, Switzerland, France a few months ago. I always try to go for 2 weeks minimum.
But if I can pop into London, catch and EPL game, see Big Ben, frick my wife then come home…

So I guess to that point, somewhere with a “late night culture” ie Spain. Not necessarily night life but just dinner etc.

That seems completely insane man. Truly one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard, no offense.
I wouldn’t even dream of doing a trip to Europe for less than 4-5 nights in country.
Do a domestic trip as direct a flight as you can.
Or maybe Mexico etc

What? You can easily take a red eye to London.
Arrive in the morning.
Spend 2 days there and fly back in the afternoon on the next day.

I have a laundry list of closer places and domestic.
Day 1: Red eye to London
Day 2: arrive in the late morning and have the rest of the day
Day 3: whatever
Day 4: fly home mid day and get back to Nola by the evening.
Gone 3.5 days, 48 hours in a new city that’s not an 11 hour flight away…

Yeah but why the frick would you do that.
You’re going to have jet lag and adjustment for 2 days and then you’re gone.
That can’t possibly be very enjoyable.
Unless you’re incredibly wealthy and just don’t need to work, this is one of the most head scratching posts I’ve ever read on here.
Just go somewhere closer instead of trying to jam a giant trip into 2 days.
Or go for longer.

For the love of god…
I don’t intend on adjusting my sleep schedule. I’ll stay up late and wake up late. I’ll sleep in the plane on the way there.
Let me put it to you this way. What cities/destinations that are in South/central America or Western Europe (won’t be super long flights) that you can “see” in two days or dont need to spend a lot of time in. Essentially, those cities you typically start or end your trip in for a couple days to adjust your sleep and done need more than 2/3 days there.

Think what cities would you want to fly to if tickets were free or if you were an airline pilot. 24-48 hours there.

Yeah for 2-4 days you should be thinking Key West, Miami, Nashville, NYC, etc. you saying St Lucia and then some Europe countries makes me believe you are in drugs currently and planning to travel meth’d out.
Find a solid place to spend quality 2-4 days at and not a place where you are running non stop for 2-4days trying to see everything.

Again, all of those domestic places are on the list but I’ve been to basically all of them multiple times.
St. Lucia might be stupid due to the bus travel required but reference my London example for and example.
Better yet, check out the original post and throw me a city or two.

Also, I do t intend to run around at these places. See a little bit, sit around, frick off, eat, drink, done

Ok, for 2 solid days- Napa, Seattle, Portland, San Fran, Park City, Any Colorado ski town , NYC, Boston, Philly, Miami, Charleston, Cape Cod and maybe Key West.
I like to travel a lot and have done a lot of traveling in the past. Currently shut down due to 3 kids with extracurricular high school activities.
Travel as much as possible. Safe travels!!

There used to be a direct Air Canada flight from MSY to Toronto, if that flight is still available do that.

Ummm..I was thinking places more like Boulder, Chicago or Ft Lauderdale
Anything else on that trip doesnt compute for a 2 day trip. A 4 day trip to Mexico wouldn't be too bad because you can fly direct from MSY to Cancun but no way am I adding connections for such a short trip.

Just do London. Direct. Checks the boxes. First time I went to London arrived on a Thursday left on Monday. So double your trip but covered a lot of ground even in first two days.

Fly one of those budget airlines to Jacksonville and spend 2-4 days around st Augustine Florida. That seems like it would fit the bill and that’s a cool city.
