Do you think someone would be more successful (as in sticking to it and not giving up) starting a daily workout regiment if they weighed 220 lbs or after they’ve seen substantial progress and now weigh 180 lbs?
The shot may not teach someone healthy habits but it gives them a great head start. Fat people have no motivation because they’ve never seen results. Seeing themselves lose weight (via the shot) can be the push they need to show themselves that they can do it.
Sure, some will not take advantage of their resources and will gain it back, they are back to where they started, but that doesn’t impact your life whatsoever. Some will continue their progress and change their life for the better, and that improves our healthcare as a society.
