First 3 episodes dropped today and then one every Friday for the next few weeks 10 episodes total. Anyone checked it out? I read the book and thought it was pretty good, basically inspired by Fleetwood Mac.

Based on Taylor Jenkins Reid's best-selling novel of the same name, the upcoming limited series will detail the rise and fall of a fictional '70s rock band — loosely inspired by Fleetwood Mac — and its enigmatic frontwoman Daisy Jones.

Looking forward to watching this. They were filming at the Roosevelt in NOLA the week I stayed there last May.

Just started it and I’m liking it so far. I’m waiting til I’m done with the show to read the book because it seems book fans aren’t thrilled with it. I do look forward to reading it, though.

Yea, not very good.

Band starts out ...struggles
A little success
Drugs
Band personnel changes
...

All cliche

Watched the first three Saturday night.
Music lovers, specifically those involved in the nuts and bolts of music and band things, will love it from the start.
Others may find it a slow start. It’s based on a fictitious band that peaked in 1977 and 20 years later a documentary is being made about it. So it’s part doc format and part live action flashbacks. It starts from the early days of the characters and a lot of time is spent on them learning the business, developing their styles and sound, writing, composing, etc.
Things don’t get kicking until the third episode really, and appears it gets kicking moreso later.

It’s a good watch so far. Good acting, characters, writing etc. Nothing lacking really. Just know the first two episodes could be considered slow by some.

I starting watching yesterday, didn't realize that all the episodes weren't out yet. Episode 1 and 2 are setting it all up. With Episode 3 you can tell things are about to start popping and I was really disappointed when I realized those 3 were all that are currently out. I'm looking forward to continuing but I'll wait a few weeks to binge more.

It's an ABC prime-time melodrama with a decent 1970's sound track and some God awful imitation Fleetwood Mac songs thrown in.

I'm 8 episodes in and I'm really enjoying it. The wardrobe is awesome, Riley is great to watch and I like the music.

This show turned out great. I agree with whoever said the first couple of episodes were a tad slow, but after Episode 2, the rest flew by. Great music/acting and the story felt really believable. The did a good job of letting the characters make enough mistakes, but still be likable.

Nailed the ending. The music and feel was superb and the show exceeded all expectations especially for someone that grew up in that era.

The original music is very Fleetwood Mac'ish and the soundtrack is just a bunch of good 70's songs

Just finished binging all 10 eps over 2 days..

Music was very good
The actors really fit that 70s look

I think it’s a show that at times you dislike the characters and the things they’re doing but you stay invested and the way it wraps everything up was really beautiful. Episode 10 is simply fantastic and I’m ngl the ending made me tear up.

Also Camilla Morrone is simply beautiful.

Hmm. I have a general knowledge of FW and see references between this show and that all over but not sure how similar the stories are.

Possible spoilers but don’t think so:
The band is semi-established but stagnant and limited, she comes along and turns it upside down in good and bad ways, adding a great lead voice and wicked songwriting skills, really bringing it up to the next level.

From what I’ve read the book the show is based on is openly loosely based on FW but the book and the show change up key things as well..

The main premise that correlates to FW isn’t necessarily supposed to be specific but generalized dynamics and hurdles the band dealt with

Watched the first 2 episodes. I'm liking it so far. Can't name a single actor. Which isn't always a bad thing.
