Had a break in the rain so I took the dog for a walk. There are a few spots in my neighborhood where puddles build up against the curb.

My dog (I know there are rules - picture below) hates water so it is unsurprising to me that she jumps puddles.

Do those of you who have water-loving dogs see your dogs jumping puddles? Do they walk through oblivious? Do they jump in the puddles?

My dog as a puppy.

The dog is named Fig, so it’s appropriate

My dog runs through puddles and drinks the water at the same time.

I'll lay down my jacket so you can walk over a puddle.

He hates baths where he would come out clean.... mud puddles obviously don't count as bathing.

My Ridgebacks don't care one way or another, the shortest route is the one they take, my Basset however will go out of her way to walk through every mud puddle, drainage ditch, stream, or spilled beer. When she was a pup I would let them run in the wife's GP's cane fields and she would go right to the ditches. I always got the hose and towels ready before we left the house.

I have a German shepherd. She looks for water. She loves it when you have the house on and she tries to attack the water coming out. Take her to a lake and forget about it. Kids love playing with her in the lake. She just doesn't like it if the kids go underwater. She thinks they are hurt.

that’s cute - you should let her have the hose, it’s easier clean up

My pups don't like wet ground, so I have to carry them out to the yard in the mornings and when it rains.

My dog IDs puddles from a distance and dives in them head first.
