iPad Pro - USB ports in the car how to charge ?

No USB c ports in car :(
I know I could get a USB to USB c adapter to use with the cord that comes with my iPad Pro but does that work well?
Should I instead get a USB to USB c cable for the iPad Pro ?
Which option is better?
Would either one effect the iPad Pro battery in any way ?

Do you have a 110W AC charger in the vehicle? Or just 12v cigarette lighter ports?
ETA: USB A to USB C cannot provide PD (power delivery) the way a USB C native port will.
Especially on a iPad, it'll take forever to charge a USB C device over USB A, compared to how long it takes to charge a USB C device through a AC charger plugged into a 110W outlet. The standard iPad charger was 20W of output, if plugged into a 110W outlet. However, you can spend $30 and get this which will charge approximately twice as fast. The cigarette lighter version is this at 48W. I don't like cigarette chargers because the contacts that keep them lodged in the receptacle inevitably break down.
Take note, these high speed (more than 20W, generally) chargers cannot generally power USB A connections at nearly the same rate they can provide USB C power.

I'm looking to hard wire two USB c chargers into my car. May get one of those and try it out. Right now I just have a USB A and it takes so long that I use the 110v adapter with a house charger in the car.
Though my current phone I can usually run all day without a charge (S22u)

Either of those options will work if you are simply trying to maintain a charge. I do not like to use adaptors, but that may be the cheaper option. If you are using an adaptor plugged into a cigarette lighter/power adaptor in the vehicle, buy a new one with USB C or both (posted in another response).

It should not so long as what you get is within the normal USB power specs. I suspect even then the charging circuitry in the iPad probably clamps what goes to the battery itself.

You’re likely not gonna have enough wattage from that usb. I have a cigarette lighter usb c that has 100w and I can charge a laptop with that. I’m not sure what the iPad Pro pulls, but I’m sure it’s a lot higher than that usb-a.
