Has anyone been lately? I am thinking about going and had heard reports of it being wet/muddy due to the river overflowing. Anybody know the latest?

Honey Island range?
Drove through the area last week. It is swamp all around for about 5 miles and the access roads are largely underwater. Can't imagine its open.

The range is on the Pearl River WMA and that WMA closes anytime the Pearl River gets above 16 at Pearl River. Gauge is showing just under 17 currently, so it'll be closed until the river goes back down

How long does it usually take after a flood event until the range is able to be used again?

This is the current level at Pearl River which is what we go on.
We say it needs to be below 16ft in order for the WMA roads to be navigable but in recent years it's actually closer to 15.5ft before the water lever gets under the bridge.
Based on it being over flood stage for almost a month now, it may take a week or so before we can get in there to inspect our equipment to make sure we're able to open.

I cross that exit twice daily and the Pearl has been pretty high for a good while. Hell the liquor store exit under the bridge has had water over parts of the road for over a month. That range seems to be closed more than open

Rangemaster said today that we may open by Saturday.

I drove in that area on Sunday and couldn't believe how much water was still standing all along there.
Is the Pearl getting worse with draining or something? I know it sounds like a weak troll or something, but I don't remember this area flooding this much or taking as long to drain back in the day.

More water is being dumped into the West Pearl since the control structure east of Bush collapsed a couple years ago and more water than ever before is now coming down the West. The mouth of the West has been silting in for decades and the water has nowhere to go. So it stays flooded for longer periods.
