If you are coaching against LSU and LSU has a 3rd and 17

and you also know as most media and LSU fans know that their first 15 or so offensive plays are already "scripted", do you play conservative and not rush? The correct answer is.... Yes. Why would you rush when you know that they are gonna either run the ball or throw a 10 yard route like the one that Bird couldn't catch in the first qtr. The point I'm trying to make is this...... Scripted plays usually suck. Did LSU use this same gameplan last year? If they did then I must apologize. Either LSU was lucky last year or Miles and Crowton are both considered brilliant. Help me out here fellas.

We would script the first few series when Saban was here with Fisher as well.

I would blitz the hell out of Jarrett Lee knowing he will sit in the pocket and
A. Take the lick causing a fumble or int
B. See him throw the ball into the deep center of the field to a waiting safety in a track runner stance for the endzone
c. See him thrown into double/triple coverage that results in a pick 6
D. See him throw the ball into the rb that is covered by the entire defensive line.
E. Sit back in a zone great odds he will under/overthrow the pass to a rb in the flat or to wr running slant that results in a devastating hit that causes a waiting lb to have a free run into the endzone resulting in all the offense the team needs.
Either way 3rd and long for lsu is good odds to help my team put points on the board

All you do is if you are playing defense vs LSU is play a base defense and just wait for Jarrett Lee to throw an INT. He'll do it. Just be patient if you are on defense.

Don't rush or blitz Lee. Let him throw the ball. An interception is better than a sack. Especially a pick 6.

in the bama game--anybody just anybody must be thinking do not have an int on the first series- but no we throw on 3rd and 17-- all we had to do was run a draw and punt - but not had to throw- nothing but stupid with lee in the game- we had a break and gave it right back to them.

twist d line, send 1 lb, and play a cover 1 robber behind it.
btw i think pretty much every team scripts their first 5-15 plays including jr high to the pros. the offense can practice the hell out of those plays and visualize against different defenses.

Hell no...you send the house.
All you have to is watch the film of Jarrett Lee to see he is scared to death of pressure.
He'll throw an interception or throw the ball in the dirt 'cause he doesn't want to get hit.
Jordan Jefferson needs to see the field NOW.
Just my $0.02...flame away!
