This team is not set up for any sort of long or short term success. It makes absolutely no sense to me why we wouldn’t burn it to the ground, get loaded with cap space and set ourselves to be awesome in a few years. Am I wrong?

“You play to win 7 games”

The players play to win. GMs should maneuver to build an elite team.

Yes and no.

Its sound logic but the team has said multiple times they arent doing that. They have shown they arent doing that. Too much veteran talent to do that.

You're not wrong, but the team and the majority of the fanbase aren't ready to admit that's the correct course of action.

Around here? Tua always had injury concerns.

Nearly none of the teams we have all assumed to be “tanking” have had any sort of success. It’s been the KC’s, Eagles, etc that drafted well and still ran their organization professionally that all had success in the end.

I’m not wanting us to ruin the now and the future for “tanking”

You people saying tank for this guy are a joke. How many qbs under Lincoln Riley were and are successful in the nfl?

3 current starting NFL QBs, 1 of which is starting tonight in the Super Bowl. How many other college coaches can say that?

No can do. The team and fanbase is currently enamored with a mediocre QB thinking he’ll take us to the Super Bowl. Never mind the fact he’s nowhere near the elite QB level, has no history to suggest that would be possible, and a contract that will hamstring us for a few more years.

No one said that. And thats the problem with this place. Yall see statements and exaggerate the hell out of it.

Its the same with Jameis. Just because a few of us thought he was the best option at the time people took that as thinking he was a great QB.

Damn, some of yall need some real reading comprehension

I'm talking about that people are encouraging tua to step away from the game already because of concussions

Umm, if you would have tanked for Tua, you would have ended up with Joe Burrow at the end of the year, so not a good example to use…..

Every saints game I know would take one shite season for 10-12 years of Burrow instead of another 7-10 season.

The title of the thread is " tank for Caleb" not tank for someone that no one was predicting to go in the first round but he had a historic 2019 season once he got someone more imaginative than les miles coaching
