Seabiscuit 20th Anniversary (playing on Netflix) where does it rank among sports movies?

This has always been a sentimental favorite of mine. Broken owner, who lost his son. Broken horse trainer who saw his way of life upended. Broken Jockey who was given up by his family, too big to be a jockey, half blind, etc. And a horse that was an also-ran and "too small" to compete. All ended up as champions that we still talk about today.

This movie has it all, IMO. And while it is a little sentimental and emotionally manipulative after 20 years, it still works for me.

It's an old school beautifully made movie from a great writer...Laura Hillenbrand

And sadly grossed less than awful Hulk (2003)...

that's the world we live in.

As a horse person (and race person) I’m supposed to love it. I just don’t. I watched it once and don’t care to ever watch it again. It also bothered me that they made war admiral huge

It is better than the book. I’ll at least give it that.

I really like this movie. And I actually like the narration.
