I was all for CMM when he got here. I thought what he did in 8 weeks was amazing but it was more like, Back in the day Gold chains were huge, we weren’t rich, but my Mom RIP bought me one anyhow and I wore it proudly and was styling and profiling til summer came along and swimming and sweat , Chain faded and my Neck turned green. Fools Gold. So here’s the ?

What does CMM tell a recruit or portal dude , Elite guys mind you to get them to sign with LSU?

What did Dale Brown tell Kenny Higgs and Durand Macklin to get them out of Kentucky and what did he tell Dewayne Scales to get him out of Dallas.

That was your first mistake

Let the downvotes rain, the more the better. Weakwood's most crucial hire was mbb and he failed. FB and WBB are established entities that are attractive to peeps like kim and brian. He absolutely cut Will's throat in the most cowardly fashion possible. frick him. He gets no credit for the donors' funding. He is an absolutely lost clown.

Not what he says more than what he can show them. Show them the money, about the only way he’ll get them to LSU.

The biggest draw is going to be playing time, working with a coach who developed talent like Ja Morant, play in the house that Shaq built, etc.

Once you get the first big fish you can add selling them on teaming up with x and y.

Obviously until the sanctions are announced you have to fight that, but once they are you can say that it is in the rear view mirror.

The main issue he is facing right this minute is that there isn't any local talent on the radar. It would be nice to have a Skylar Mays or Jarell Martin in your pocket.

I’ll tell you what MM told me. He knew this job”short term” was not his best choice. And he had a few good options. He believes so much in the “LSU Brand” that he couldn’t turn the job down . His words “ it’s the opportunity of a lifetime to be associated with one of the most Iconic brands in college sports” When the sanctions are behind us he will sell that belief to these kids. And of course playing time is there to be had as well as NIL opportunities. His style and demeanor may not instill instant confidence and blinded respect as others have achieved. It’s very hard to see anything other than the product on the court right now. But I still think he will get it done because he’s a very prideful man who’s done nothing but win his entire career. I’ve stated this before and I still believe it true. He was told he had 4 years to show what he can do. I unlike the vocal minority on here will be watching respectfully and rooting him on.

I'm all for him. The guy didn't forget coaching basketball and running a program....what's he done over the last 15 years to get here. He believes in LSU and wants to be here. I'm in for the long haul.

Well said above Red

He didn’t forget how to coach basketball, but he’s never learned how to be a successful coach in the SEC.

There are dozens of successful coaches in smaller schools every year that simply can’t cut it in the big leagues. Maybe he turns it around, but there is simply no reason to believe so after watching this team this year.

Absolutely, you're right, a ton of mid-major coaches don't make it in the Power 5. We have enough resources to win, we've done it before. Woodward saw something in this guy. I think McM can get the players. This just isn't a quick fix what he walked into. I just have a hunch the guy knows what he's doing, just needs the time to get the players. I want to see next year's roster and go from there. I'm not taking too much from this season. I've watched every minute like we all feel right now..everybody's on the same page as far as..it's been painful to watch this season.

He came here with no one, late in the process, and the entire recruiting class bailed. Plus the dark cloud of the violations and the uncertainty of upcoming sanctions. The only guys that stayed were Adam Miller coming off an injury, and two guys that probably wouldn’t start anywhere else in the SEC in Wilkinson and Williams. What the frick did y’all expect?

He had some success picking up backups in the portal from smaller, less successful schools, along with a few starters from Murray State. He beat all the inferior teams and is losing to SEC teams.

Most of y’all need to seriously temper your expectations. Calling for him to be fired when he came into an absolute shite show is embarrassing to our fan base. I don’t know if he’ll turn it around but he’ll get a couple more years at a minimum.

Most LSU fans want the men’s basketball program to succeed. But you don’t have a clue about LSU if you don’t think the football hire is the most crucial hire. If football tanks, LSU’s problems become way bigger than an 11-game losing streak in men’s basketball.

Ed Orgeron proved the football program can slip in a hurry if the wrong coach is in charge.
