Just completed my first grand master and it was fricking Corrupted. Why do people do that to themselves.

Bungie wants Destiny to be more difficult, and Reddit wants nothing to do with it

Meh. The issue is that they said they are getting rid of matchgame and just rolled out matchgame on steroids. Basically gonna limit the hell out of viable builds, which the game definitely did not need more of.
Pretty disappointing they’re still not adding matchmaking to higher difficulty nightfalls too.

Have they made head scratching decisions? Sure. Do I think everything should be looked at with scepticism? No. Seems like they're hitting more than they're missing lately.
There's more to it than just surges and threats. There's also a weapon component. The two don't stack. So players still have access to improved damage. But no one's reading that far. Just want Reddit cred I guess.
The article was on how Bungie plans to make content more engaging (which is desperately needed). Yet the feedback focus was on rewards. More Reddit cred.
Truth is the vocal section of the player base wants easy content with their choice of rewards. Gimme, gimme, gimme...
I prefer a little more challenge. If I feel the game doesn't respect my time regarding rewards, I'll play something else.

I mean champions have been out for 2 years now, and they just realized putting those mods in the arm slot was pretty retarded. That’s what this change strikes me as.
Agreed that more challenge is good, but why not do that while also giving some actual flexibility for the builds they always talk about.

Outside of solo master dungeon shenanigans, GMs are the hardest content in the game. You've ran them fine. New difficulty knobs are nothing to worry about.
