No, historically it’s not normal. But becoming more common (pun intended) lately. And rude folks on both sides do it.

I’m ok with it. It’s a glorified political speech so it should face political outcries.

I’d say it’s extremely common in other countries. UK, etc, can get very rowdy in the ole House of Commons…

Yeah, the Democrats weren’t respectful of Trump either. Honestly, Marjorie Taylor Green, who most on both sides consider a complete joke, acted accordingly, so I don’t know why people are up in arms about her expected behavior. And Biden flipped it on her, so she was really just sitting there with egg on her face.

Prior to Television, and one party rule during the early 20th century it was historically very raucous. There were fights often on the Chamber floor. This decorum that many have adopted didn't exist before, and although it may look good on TV, it could be considered a disservice to the people of America. In a Television/Social Media world, where the lasting comment is the last one, an outburst will "make some noise", "go viral", etc. etc. No need to hold back when the Media controls the narrative.

This happens in like every country but ours.

And i guess people just want to gloss over trumps entire presidency.
