This is a report from a German public broadcasting network about the state of the German Bundeswehr. Basically they're acknowledging everything that people like Trump have been bitching about and calling them out for. It's the culmination of decades of ignoring their required NATO defense spending and relying on US to be their national defense. Now they're saying that they're really in a bind because they've given too much of their equipment to Ukraine. And guess who's almost certainly going to be footing the bill and/or giving them equipment...

frick these krauts. Let the wolves have them.

Why can't, won't Germany fund it's own rearmament? Our gifting them is dubious.

That is why Poland has been working on arming themselves to the teeth. They know that none of their Western European allies have been doing their part and if something happens, they are going to have to stand on their own for as long as possible.

Our North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies have been ripping off America in trade while also relying on American taxpayers to pay their defense bills for decades. President Trump’s pressure on them to pay their fair share for defense is the right call and embodies his America First agenda.

“The United States is spending far more on NATO than any other Country. This is not fair, nor is it acceptable,” President Donald Trump tweeted.

“On top of this the European Union has a Trade Surplus of $151 Million with the United States, with big trade barriers on U.S. goods. NO!” he continued.

This is especially egregious considering Germany claims it needs protection from Putin — all the while buying large amounts of gas from Russia and, thus, helping fund the very potential and potent adversary. This is, in a word, insane.

Putin amassing 500,000 troops on the Ukraine border. They are going to have such and easy run through Germany to the Rhine.

This is an excellent opportunity to force more spending by the NATO members and for the US to lower the burden of Europe's defense on American taxpayers.

Biden should sell for a profit enough arms to equip the German army.
