Trump is definitely vulnerable to praise. That has been his main flaw since he entered politics.

Sessions is an example. During the 2016 campaign, sessions was trump's lapdog. He praised trump to high heaven and got himself a key position after trump won. Then he used that key position to stab trump in the back. That could've easily been avoided if trump didn't easily trust people who kiss his arse.

I will say that it is probably difficult. Politicians depend on sweet talking others, for votes and power. They are professional manipulators.

If Trump’s so “addicted” to praise or even just a very big fan of it, then it would seem that he’s into the worst possible thing for this supposed needy ego. As much as people try to tear him down, and in the most vicious of ways, he’s at a net loss in the praise area. And it’s really not even close. Way way more insult than praise. I’m not saying he doesn’t have we’ll call it very strong self-esteem and strong ego, but good, I can’t imagine wanting a leader who isn’t extremely sure of himself.

This is why I believe “praise” doesn’t play any serious role in what he does or who he has on his “team” at any given point.
