... yeah, it's a part of the game .. but take away lee's two INTs in regulation and LSU possibly wins this game by 3 TDs ... hats off to miles and staff for being incredibly well prepared for this game on saturday .. big tip of the hat to the defensive staff .. guess the only question was where was this defense in the georgia game ? if you had pressed at the corners in that game, LSU possibly wins that one two .. that is .. once again, minus two lee INTs ...

anyone see a trend here ?

It was a great defensive effort...Finally showed that these guys can play ball when they are inspired to do so.

But Bama is not a spread offense either,

I hate playing UF in that junk offense, I am scared everytime they snap the ball, something big is going to happen against our D..

To be fair, there's not really a whole lot of teams that will stop a spread offense. A spread offense will put eat up a lot of yards. It's the red zone defense that makes or breaks a defensive gameplan vs. a spread offense.

D played well, we gave them 14 points, 20 if you call giving them the OT win by .........I'm not going into that again.

OL played very good, and RB's did good.

Lee was awful, mad bad decisions and bad throws, with that the WR dropped some of the very catchable balls.

LSU was prepared, and ready to play, We did not execute in the passing game.

take Lee out of the equation... and you minus 2 losses.

seriously, he was missing 5 yard dink/dunk passes

the spread offense .. or at least the versions that texas tech and florida run will be almost impossible to stop the rest of the way .. if anything .. since saban now basically has almost a month to think about it .. it will be interesting to see what he comes up with against meyer ..

i was sick at the end of the game for the kids, because you could see on the field how hard they were playing for les .. anyone who knocks les after this game has either never played competitive football or doesn't understand it at all .. i was thoroughly impressed ..

Kind of makes you wonder how JJ would do. I know he's a true freshman and everything, and I understand I'm not around these players everyday. But would JJ do any worse then 2 pick 6s?

if you didn't see a silver lining in saturday's game, you're fricking blind.

but if you want to be a dick about it, yes. Everyone LOVES to lose. It's our new favorite thing.

Not sure about Jefferson but the arguement for Perilloux is not correct. With Perilloux LSU is 6-3 and probably bailing a quarterback out of jail.

At least Lee is taking his lumps now as a true freshman and hopefully learning for his sophmore year. It was a bad game for him no doubt but when he does toss a good ball it really is a nice pass. He'll learn.

Les and staff do a good job with X/O.

Character / intelligent level of recruits may be an issue. If we remember, Saban passed on Perilloux because of "character" issues. It is also true that Perilloux's mama did not like Saban's character either.

If the knocks on Jefferson are true that he cannot learn the playbook, it looks we do not have a QB in sight.

JLee and Crowton lost that game. Not sure about "Miles outcoached Saban", I think he did as well as Saban, but our poor QB play and Crowton's poor play calling doomed Miles no matter how good he coached.

I agree, but you have to give credit to the Bama defense. Lee struggled, but he was put in some bad situations. He missed a few receivers, but also had some dropped.
The touchdown that C. Mitchell dropped was a beautiful pass. The offense doesn't seem to be in sync. There is a lot of confusion.

The play calling is bad in situatiuons. When they get is a groove, a play is called that makes you scratch your head and puts the offense in a bad situation.

and take away Alabama's turnovers and Saban out coached Miles. Actually I think both coaching staffs did a good job

I disagree mainly because I think LSU is better on both lines. We just don't have the horses yet.

We are doing this with smoke and mirrors and a will to win.

shite .. saban had two touchdowns gift wrapped for him and had no pressure on him in his OT possesion .. alabama's D never really stopped us as much as we stopped ourselves .. i think les clearly outcoached him in this game and anyone that has read my threads knows, i am a huge saban fan and didn't exactly warm up to les as quickly as others did ..

you guys are an amazing story and for the most part (minus wilson's uncharacteristic, idiotic post TD celebration) played with a lot of class .. coach saban showed a lot of class after the game ... i couldn't believe some of the shite that our fans were yelling at him ..
