I can only comment with what I saw in the fall. He needed some work. Like someone mentioned, he should be a senior in high school and going from that to catching 8+ guys throwing 95+ with different action is going to take time. Milazzo is great at it. It’s funny Lester downplays Milazzos defense but ignores Neal’s actual receiving and reaction. He will get there for sure but from what I saw in the fall, he needs reps. Milazzo needs to catch Skenes. I feel pretty strongly about that. Neal can handle most of the others well enough when called upon.

We've argued about Milazzo for two years and his expendability. If there's one year I'll concede his lack of offense for his "defensive ability", it would be this year as we've got murderers row stacked 1-8.

Milazzo has been atrocious at the plate but if you're going to put a .200 hitter in the lineup, this the year to do it without reservation.
