How are either the water situation or crime situation Tate’s responsibility? The OP mentions what happens when another entity tries to take over for the Jackson mayor.

The local government of the state Capital is letting their infrastructure crumble unnecessarily. This is the exact reason for a state government. When the primary source of government has begun to largely fail.

Democrats will blame and cry racism regardless, so no matter what the circumstance they will twist the narrative to fit their purpose.

The Governor wields that power. It’s not his responsibility but it is Incumbent upon him to keep these cities safe and operating properly - which Jackson clearly isn’t doing.
