I'm not a big fan of a moron thinking public land is private. But, I also am a fan of living and people are psycho.

If you don't want to get shot, or have to shoot someone if you decide to carry, just go fish somewhere else. It isn't worth it.

I agree 100%, but OP lives on the lake and it sounds like its not a huge lake.

Which is more a reason not to frick with the guy too much, but also its not easy to just go fish elsewhere.

For me I always have several other options in brush. I mean if brush seems to be a big time fish magnets, then go build some magnets. I can put a new brush pile out and have fish on it the next day. But anyway, I've seen some pretty upset fishermen. I've had people fish around my dock when I am down there. Most are forthcoming and will talk fishing. But I've come up against a few fishing "my brush" around "my dock" and I ask them what they are catching and on what lure, and they are silent. What's up with that?
