Who to get counsel from regarding Unemployment payout near NOLA?

I have a friend who collected some Unemployment insurance right after covid started, and now the state has notified her that she has to repay it all.
There seems to be a discrepancy about a delayed commission check conflicting with a payout. State has sent nasty letters about needing her to repay several months or lien etc.
She has appealed, but says this doesn't seem to enough so far.
Suggestions on who she could get some professional help with this from? She lives in NOLA.

Only time I received unemployment was when Katrina hit and I couldn’t contact anyone at my company in Metairie for 2.5 weeks. I applied for unemployment and received one weeks check after waiting the 1 week waiting period before benefits kicked in
Later after contacting the company and after taking another job my previous company paid me for remaining vacation days. When that happened it in effect pushed back my last day of pay another week and I had to them pay back that one week I was paid.
Receiving pay from a company, even commission, can be counted as continued pay.

How much are we talking?
There are law firms that can get involved but if it's only a couple of weeks of pay, you are going to pay that much if not more to an attorney.

It's a few/several grand, so I'll pass the info on to her and let her contact Gopher's contact person and go from there.
Thanks for the info, and any more is welcome.
