Probably but it doesnt bother me enough to look into it
I am so anal about other stuff I just have to let this discrepancy go. I don't really play in any tourneys where it matters all that much anyway. Even though I have been told it will be verified, not once have I ever been asked.

Also use The Grint, free version. You can track every shot but I don't. Basically track tee club, right/left/fairway, # putts and distance of first putt, penalties, drops, sand, etc. Enough info for me and not a distraction as I input on my way to the next hole. The stats in the free version are good enough for me but upgrading to the Pro version you can get advanced stats.
You can link your GHIN with The Grint. I don't bother with a GHIN as The Grint will track your handicap using their GHAP system, even if not official.
