I have one more episode of season 2. What was the point of the Richie Aprile character? I mean, he shows up, cause some trouble for Tony, Junior outs him, and Tony's sister kills him unrelated to any of the other story lines.

Richie is really what you’re griping about? Really? Damn man…if you can’t appreciate Richie you don’t need to watch anymore…seriously. Go back to Sex And The City.

That's pretty much every season..
First episode they'll unveil who the 'guest star' is that will eventually be dead by end of season

You didn’t see the point of his character? There’s so many levels to it, he was a childhood hero of Tony’s now after being away for so long can’t adjust to how things have progressed in the family. He’s disruptive and insubordinate, he’s not only Adrianna’s uncle he’s engaged to be Tony’s brother in law all while competing with Tony to the point of trying to clip him using Junior as his support. The show is about Tony, all the antagonist characters are about how Tony navigates and interacts with them. As far as Janice killing him it’s pretty obvious why she does it so dunno how that’s confusing to you.
