Indeed.

For a fun little thought experiment, pretend Don Jr. or Eric reported paying their dad $50k/month for rent on a property on one doc, reported that they owned that same property outright on another (a federal firearms background check form, no less), and that Dad underreported income received on that owned property to the tune of $36k/month.

Hell, just imagine if you underreported your income by $36k ONCE, much less monthly and picture the righteous fury that would befall you from the IRS in the form of fees and penalties assessed.

Now acknowledge the realities that all of the usual suspects in the Beltway are telling you that this is a nothingburger, and that conservatives are blowing this out of proportion.

For the year, joe received 600K from hunter. He failed to report rents received to the tune of 584K and change.
