Sure, but ain’t “gifting” a kid a $15k+ car for a convenience. I’m planning on buying one my kids can share while they save up for their own, but nothing is given.

They’re not gifting “a” kid a $15k car. They’re gifting THEIR kid a $15k car.

I wouldn't drop that kind of money on a first car either. I paid $4K each for my daughter and son's first cars.

It's obvious that you either don't have a teen or yours isn't in enough activities to make hauling them around painful enough for you. I was THRILLED when my daughter (no pics) got her license. We were taking her on a minimum 30 minute communte to and from gymnastics and then after that diving practice every single day but Sundays. It gets old!
