Fricking uneven bars, no excuse for that shite or the floor routine. We need to hire the best balance beam coach in the country.

You all give DD 40 years to win her 1st SEC..although of course Jay inherited a much better program than DD….this year it will not matter, no one getting by Oklahoma, FL

The program surge the gymnastics had didn't really take off until Jay came in as he flipped Priessman and landed Finnegan, which put LSU on the map. Then LSU started landing elite recruiting classes consistently.

But with that said, DD is a much better head coach who couldn't land enough elite recruits until Jay came in. Jay appears to be a recruiter who can't coach.

Great. That was then, this is now. They don't look ready. They look sloppy. Maybe Jay is a really good Assistant coach.

This is exactly right.

I love watching these athletes. One could argue they are far more athletic than any other sport on campus. They can run, jump, flip, turn and do it at top speed.

The only thing I don’t enjoy is how they judge/score, which has been the case for other sports such as figure skating.

DD built the program and currently Jay is dismantling it. DD left him with a top 5 program and we didn’t get out of the regional last year. With the facilities, there is no excuse. I agree that OU, Florida, Michigan, and Utah are solid, but Jay’s pedigree is set in recruiting. He needs to earn his pay or step down.

Another failed "Promoting the Assistant" BS hire by LSU, instead of conducting a National Search for the best qualified candidate. (Tiger Band X 3)

The program is absolutely declining swiftly under Clark.

LSU gymnastics losing to Kentucky.

To be fair, I believe Jay was hired as the successor to DD. He wasn’t just some assistant coach who they decided to promote when DD retired. It was most probably part of his contract when they hired him. Was it a good decision? Not looking like it right now, but I hope he can right the ship.

Tired telling y’all. These attention w**** are more worried about followers and dancing like someone has Tourette’s on social media than winning a gymnastic national l title.

Dumb argument

No one is a hard core social media user on the team outside of Dunne so this makes no sense whatsoever. And the "attention w****" is coming back from torn labrum in both shoulders and hasn't competed yet.

The coaches deserve a lot of criticism/questions for the downward projectory of the program lately but your argument has zero merit to the situation going on right now.

I pray for Kiya obviously for her health first above all but without her LSU is royally fricked the rest of the season. The level of consistency and high level of routines is not replaceable in the short term. I'm not blaming Jay for her injury tonight as its obviously not his fault but there is a bigger picture. Its only week 2 but things are going to have to change and quickly

Gymnastics is the only sport I have ever watched and thought, even at my best I could never do those things. Every other sport I could do what they did, not at a high level, but I could do it. No with gymnastics. They are fantastic athletes and LSU does a great job of putting on a great event.

I shake my head side to side when I see a male coach go to hugging/embracing on these scantily clad gym girls after their routines. WTF. Is there any other sport with an opposite sex coach who does this routinely?
