My point was that beating Bama doesn't save you from criticism. He played poorly in both the Auburn and Arkansas games and the defense saved his arse. It goes both ways.

It only seems to go one way though.

People want to blame literally everything on Daniels.

Just ignore his rushing touchdowns

Well, if they don’t do that it makes them look pretty silly when they start pissing and moaning over a QB with 3800 yards of total O, 28 total touchdowns, a 69% completion mark, putting forth an effort that helped us to beat Bama, and helped us win the SEC West.

It’s OK to criticize him for not being more aggressive in his downfield passing game or his reads, but when you’re not even willing to give the guy his props for what he does do well and for his contribution to our success after two years of frustration, its just ridiculous and makes them look both foolish and petty. imo

Those people don't know what they are talking about though. It's ok to acknowledge that Jayden is a dynamic player that can win you games, but also has flaws that can lose you games.

I agree with you. With Nuss they remind of 19 behind burrow, can scor a lot of points and fast but leave your defense of the field too much. With Daniels I see a mid 30’s score but defense plays a little better. That’s why the coaches have to decide which direction the want to go….either way it’s a good problem to have.

Agreed! That 100% blind acceptance did not work so well early in season! LSU looked like a poor HS team. If we are paying this guy $10million, I want as close to perfection as possible. We hold MDs to perfection and they do not make that kind of money!!!!!

How do you qualify yourself as being unbiased?

Everyone points to Nuss throwing interceptions. You are comparing a 4 yr starter that throw downfield against a RS FR that has only played one full game and occasional mop up duty against scrubs. He has not had anywhere near the experience as Daniels, yet he can produce better with an interception here and there because he has not been in those situations to see it before. Apples to Oranges and the apples are becoming stale because there stop growing!!

A turnover every time he sees the field isn’t a turnover “here and there”. Dude has a great arm. He’s going to be ready in 2024 with a loaded team

Don't believe he has a turnover everytime he sees the field

Prediction for QB? Jayden is our starter.

Nuss will play a ton in a complimentary role.

We will be really difficult to prepare for.

It’s also not just ok, but objectively true that this applies to BOTH Daniels and Nuss. Both have shown flaws and inconsistency, even against poor to mediocre competition.

Hopefully this changes. I hope they really push each other this off-season and one or both emerge noticeably better.

It's made by a football coach with 30 plus years experience.

How many great NFL ready QBs has he coached?
Maybe that is one reason he has never won a National Championship.
Has Notre Dame competed in the playoffs and had the better QB on the field?

It only makes me more confident we will lose at least 3 games again.
