Though it is a poorly written paragraph. The lack of diversity mentioned isn't amongst the nominees. It's referring to the controversy that got the globes removed from TV in 2022 - a lack of diversity in the organization that runs the globes.

You'd think that an organization composed of foreign press would be diverse almost by definition. (Depending on how you define diverse of course).

It’s really wild that the HFP will keep having this show when it awards people who turn around and lecture and insult them.
