Which out of those schools has him starting next year? He would be in the same spot as he was here.

Not really. Here he's guaranteed 3rd string. I'm sure there are a lot of programs where he would walk in as 2nd string and if the starter is an upperclassman he's 1 year from taking over.

Bama job is open. He would be behind the existing qb, but could Saban convince him there’s a competition.

Florida has an issues.

I am sure they already had suitors before they announced. I am sure he has some good options to choose from

Maybe not this year but he could go and definitely get reps as a backup instead of the scout team.
Which means a lot. Scout team you really don't get better. Working with the 1's and 2's is where you get better because you practice against players who will play in live game action.
