Reports from All America Bowl - Whit Weeks continues to look like the most comfortable operator in space among linebackers at the All-American Bowl. The LSU signee backed up his strong first day with another stellar showing in coverage on Wednesday. Weeks won the majority of his 1-on-1 reps during the afternoon, showing fluidity and feel while covering running backs. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder is controlled and quickly reacts and closes on routes. We’ve also liked what Weeks has shown in 9-on-7 drills, flashing the ability to diagnose plays quickly. Weeks ranks as the No. 233 overall prospect in the On300.

#LSU signees Whit Weeks, Jalen Brown are among the top performers here in San Antonio on Day 2. Really strong group headed to Baton Rouge here.

If Whit Weeks can come in here and give us a coverage linebacker on a similar level to Micah Baskerville, it's going to go a long way toward making the LB situation palatable this fall.

Dang, man. Kind of lofty hopes for a true freshman, no?

I know we've lost some due to the portal but Kelly worked wonders last year with Wingo, JBC, Bramlett, Brooks, Foucha, Frazier, Weeks, Garner and Cain and looks to be on his way to finding a few starters and several big contributors again this year and we still are really lacking depth/experience/talent at multiple spots. Point being if it wasn't for the portal how long would this rebuild have taken?!

Great to hear on Weeks. It’s still vital we get a portal LB that can contribute next year

Big for both guys to be impressing

Both EEs, both are at positions of need for 2023

Maybe even the Rantards on here will quit trashing his older brother on the Rant!

I thought Weeks best highlights were on offense.

Even so, Lester, LSU’s greatest need is on defense at linebacker. If Tolin returns, then maybe he gets a look on offense but really need someone with his skills on defense.

Been saying for months that Weeks was special. Even better than an instate kid headed elsewhere. Seems On3 and 247 now agree and the trolls have been silenced.

Is this a compliment or a criticism? I'm just not sure.

The beauty of a LB who played exceptional offense is that they see the plays opening up just like the offensive players and can meet them at the hole. P Queen... D White... both had great offensive numbers.

“If” is a huge word and you left that out of his quote.

Don't be a douche. They both play linebacker, they are both highly regarded, and they are LSU players a year apart. Nobody said or even implied that he be as good as Perkins

Just FYI, when watching the game, don't expect any LB to make a significant impact, even if Weeks is Harold Perkins 2.0.

There's no LB blitzing allowed so they rarely get sacks or TFLs. It's almost always a DL that can disrupt/dominate an offense in these all-star games. You might only hear our LB mentioned once or twice the whole game.
