Fox Biz
No way silver goes up 50%
If it does though I am rich

Investors could see silver jump more than 50% in 2023 to reach $38 an ounce, while gold could top out at a record $2,100 an ounce, according to a Kitco News' online survey.

I bought some at 9, looking like more would have been a good idea

Unless we get a version of Silver Thursday antics, I doubt it jumps that fast. I think it will be there in my lifetime but not right away.

I stack a lot of silver so this is not going to happen.

I am like the apes I like the shiny
Aka there is not a rational investment thesis regarding the physical silver I bought and lost in boating accident

Hell, it wasn't that long ago I would have agreed. Silver has always been sort of the phantom draw. More accessible than gold, easier to leverage, etc., but it always seems to fail except for the brief run here or there.
But 2023? I have no clue what silver could do, especially as a "best alternative" to gold.
I do see gold seeing near records with the combination of the war dragging on, poor performance of both stocks and bonds, as well as inflation. All of those combine to push folks to something like gold.

Silver jumps to a new ATH at $48-49 every 20 years.
Horrible inflation hedge and not wealth preservation unless you buy at the low.
Last high was around April 2011 so only another 8 + years to go for $49 (and that is before inflation adjustments).
Every year they babble bullshite about this is the year. And is NEVER happens.

It would be good for a prepper type supply for collapse of society. Seems like it would be easier to bargain with a silver coin worth 20 or 30 dollars than a 10 oz block of gold.

I do know though, that Silver & Gold prices are "generally" tied to inflation.
A gallon of gas or milk cost reasonably close to the same in US Coin Silver in 1993 as they do today.
The silver value of a US silver Quarter in 1993 was around $1.00,
that's what gas and milk were per gallon were then.
The present value of a US silver Quarter is $4.20
What's a gallon of gas or milk going for today?
So if Silver goes to $38.00/oz., that Silver Quarter is worth about $7.00 and that's what Milk and Gas will also be priced at.

Not sure there will be a collapse of society that leads to bartering.
Headed for CBDC with no cash or bartering allowed with 100% Government CONTROL of every aspect of our lives.

Pretty soon a dozen eggs will be worth more than an oz of silver

Yep. Silver lost that massive 2022 3.5% increase in 3 trading days to start 2023. The stuff is worthless junk
