Must women travelers to Turkey wear hijabs?

Believe no but see a lot of pictures of hijabs in tourist cities so thinking those are women visiting from countries where hijabs are customary.

No, but it may depend on where you go. Istanbul for sure no.

Erdogan has had a hand in making the country more Islamic (see: converting the Haiga Sofia back into a Mosque), and I don't doubt there is government pressure to make sure the bulk of the pictures on western language websites show an upstanding Islamic society.

However, on the ground in Istanbul, you will be greeted by hundreds of images of hot Turkish women's faces (and hair) on magazines, billboards, etc.

No, unless you visit the Blue Mosque if I remember correctly.

Was there in October. Only place required was Hagia Sophia. Buy one outside, they don’t sell them inside.

Blue mosque was under renovation on the inside and closed.

Awesome city. Though there was a terrorist attack a few weeks after I was there in the popular pedestrian mall that leads to Galata Tower.
