Dear Students,

We hope that everyone is ready for another great Saturday in Death Valley!

After weeks of lobbying on behalf of the students, and with cooperation from the band department, we are proud to announce that the "Oh-Wee-Oh" chant will be reinstated this Saturday at our home game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. The lyrics will now be: "Oh-wee-oh! Tigers!"

The "Oh-Wee-Oh" chant will be allowed under the condition that students will act in true sportsmanship and positively support our team. Remember, we will continue to work to keep the traditions that for so many years have made Tiger Stadium one of the most dynamic places to play in the country. However, it is now your hands to keep the "Oh-wee-oh" Chant in the lineup for games to come.

This is bound to be the season's most electrifying game. We hope that students will come to the stadium excited and ready to cheer our Tigers onto victory!

Forever LSU!

Colorado Robertson, Student Body President

Jamie Mascari, Cheerleading Captain

Rob Dowie, Tiger Band Drum Major

Can you also ask them- in the likely case of a Bama win - will the LSU band join in and play "Rammer Jammer?"

my brother said that Colorado addressed the student section before the game last week and explained this to them... he said the band was going to play it and then they didn't.... I don't think the students care anymore. . .

i did a survey on the rant to see if all of the auburn posters had all of their teeth and found out that approximately 40% did. so, i am going to ask you the same question out of curiosity. do you, in fact, have all of yours? no shite.

I just wish we could get Tigerrag played again. Don't really care either way about the O-Wee-O chant.

The main reason we need to bring back this horrible cheer is so we can show that we can change things in order to get TIGER RAG back

the whole plan for the tulane game was for the student section to make a noticeable change to the lyrics then the administration would decide if the band would play it at the next game.. does it suprise me that there was confusion.. no .. all of the freshmen and most sophs. dont even know how the chant is played

That's neat seeing you have a class president that believes in the students... too bad the students will frick it up again the admin will ban it forever...

I wish they would bring Tiger Rag back too... but too bad it will never happen b/c they have too many loser students who are more worried about their gameday buzz than the actual football team / traditions. It was bad when i was there and according to some on here it's getting even worse.
