...mark the official end of LSU football's golden era?

It seems that a lot of you LSU fans are building this game up to be a program killer if you lose.

Conversely, a bunch of you are talking like (hoping) that a Bama loss will somehow crush the fans, team, and Saban.

I do think an LSU loss will be a clear indication that the power in the SEC west is shifting, but I guarantee that a Bama loss will not destroy this season. LSU is the only team that has any chance to beat Bama until the SECCG...even a loss in that game would get Bama into a BCS game.

So, if LSU somehow wins, you will still have to get past Ole Miss and Arkansas...before you get to watch Bama play in their BCS bowl. Even with a loss to LSU, Bama will get a better bowl...hahaha.

Yeah, watching Bama in a better bowl in 2008 is sure gonna hurt me while I look at the Championship Trophies from the past five years and think about the 4 BCS games we've played in since 2001.

What were you guys doing then? Oh yeah, paying players....and getting caught....again.

The better question is what will you Gumps do if you get beat by our "dumb coach?"

After you win a SEC title, or a NC come back and talk to me. Until then your program is still in mediocrity heading in a positive drection!

If losing to ULM didn't kill your program, then losing to Alabama won't kill ours.

No man, we are stacked with recruits coming in and we will beat Bama and Auburn most certainly next year.

It's just one season buddy.

Since the BCS Started

LSU 2 BCS National Championships
Alabama 0

'clear power shift' It's the SEC, every year there are 2-3 TOP teams and everybody else.

Good lord one game won't make or break the season. Most has us going 9-3, there will be no "shift in the dominance in the west". The only way LSU starts to decline is if we don’t replace the DC. It may not happen this year but it will in the future if it doesn’t get fixed. Wait til next year when bama has to replace their qb, you will be in the same boat as us.

If Bama loses to LSU and then to possibly UF in the SECCG there is a good chance Bama might lose out on a BCS bowl. UGA and LSU still have a chance to finish the year with two losses. SECCG losers don't do well in the BCS selections.

LSU will have a great recruiting class coming in next year, probably a better DC, and atleast some real experience at CB and QB. They will be back in contention next year. When your starting Qb you have been grooming for the position for two years has to be kicked off the team there is a good chance you will have problems the following year. Lee and Hatch should be back up QBs right now. The offense has still been able to put points on the board, but Lee has thrown some pretty costly interceptions.

We have a FR QB. In the SEC you must have a JR or SR QB to win. We are two years away. Next year Bamma will start losing again, no QB.

In no way will a loss be the end of LSU's golden era! In case you did not know this is a rebuilding year with a lot of first year players and we are on the verge of signing one of our best if not the best recruiting class in LSU's history.

As far as a bowl game...ya'll worry about beating us and Tubby before you start picking your destiny.
