Question about roof shingles

Unfortunately, the time has come to replace my roof. I have gotten quotes from several roofing contractors and have narrowed the list to two. One contractor is GAF Master Elite status and would use GAF Timberline shingles. The other contractor has CertainTeed ShingleMaster certification and would be using CertainTeed Landmark shingles.
Does anyone here have any experience with the aforementioned shingles, and if so, would you recommend one over the other?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Choose the shingle based on the best installer. All shingles today are essentially equal, although I'd prefer those Landmarks over the GAF. The installer is what makes the difference.

the only real difference is the shingle thickness that determines life expectancy, beyond that its just different colors and style cuts they use.
for roofs i stick with name brands and guys i know that i or someone i know has used before.

GAF products are what I've had on a couple of roofs and they've held up well. Have a buddy that sales shingles wholesale and he speaks highly of the GAF line. Can't say I've ever heard of the ShingleMaster, but I'm sure they have comparable shigles to GAF.
The only thing my buddy mentioned on installer is to make sure the air pressure on their nail guns isn't turned up too high.

Shingles are all about the same. Remember the phrase, "seis clavos", and repeat that to the crew.
