You make a good point. In fact, that's what I did w/ the recent spell of cold weather-I wore boot blankets over my uninsulated leather boots to see how it'd be. It kept my feet fairly warm, but I want to simplify what I pack in to the stand. I'll keep the boot blankets around for the grandkids and my wife to wear.

I've never looked for pull on boots this style. Maybe research if there's some pull on logging boots made for up north? The lace up loggers often have insulated offerings
