Does anyone make a decent one of these, it’s sounds like most of them are pretty shite. Anyone use one and like it? Want to switch my at least one screen between my work and gaming rig. Don’t really need mouse/keyboard but wouldn’t care using it if I have to go KVM for something that works.

Does your monitor allow multiple inputs? If so, no need for a KVM if you're not concerned about also switching the mouse/keyboard/etc. I've used some of the ~$30 KVMs from Amazon and none have lasted more than 9-12 months and most die sooner.

Sadly any decent DP kvm is going to be expensive. Thankfully work bought mine for me and it was like $1k for 8 ports

look into the Logitech multi device mice and keyboards. I personally have the MX Keys and MX Anywhere with a Dell ultra wide monitor. Works perfect with a Mac mini, work Windows laptop, and wife's work Windows tower. switch input on monitor and push button on keyboard and mouse and your'e ready to go.
