on how we beat Alabama this year with our 2 TRANSFER corners against their two #1 & #2 ranked corners in the nation. Please get a hold of yourselves if we miss on Ricks. It's not the end of the world.

I’ve got some bad news, we’ve been losing kids to bama for money for decades, it’s just public now

I definitely get that but there were idiots on here yesterday questioning Kelly and staff and being willing to do what it took to keep him. I'm always of the mindset I want kids that want to be here. The kids following the $ may not be best for us regardless of their talent levels.

That’s great, I would not recommend building a program around that model though.

Yeah we beat them year 1 and it still has no affect in recruiting
and let's be real on that win... LSU beats Baba maybe twice if they play 10 times on a neutral field. The atmosphere that night was magical.

Completely agree. I’ve said it a million times, if the money is the ONLY factor in the recruitment, I’d move on from the kid. Period.
That appears to be the case here so whatever. I don’t want Kelly playing this game. I want us to be competitive in the market and find kids who have some legit interest in the university. I think you can win that way
Hell, bama was a disappointment this year and they had former players question the commitment of the current players. That’s not a coincidence imo. Yea you can sell out and get all those kids but make no mistake , they don’t give a frick about bama or whatever school and it will show up during the season

Good points Toptiger. Totally agree, and just don't like the smell of giving Ricks 1.5 mil in regards to the rest of the team. These posters don't comprehend the negative ramifications of this towards the other very good players(like Perkins or Boutte) receiving much smaller NIL money.
