A player shouldn't lose a year of eligibility for playing in bowl games.

I would have liked to have seen Nuss play in the bowl game last year. The fact that he would have lost a year of eligibility for a game that contributed nothing to regular season standings etc... needs to be addressed by the NCAA. Especially with players being able to opt out for the NFL, enter the transfer portal etc... The fact that LSU had to play a wide receiver at qb in last year's bowl game is just a travesty in my opinion. I'm not sure if we have any players this year that aren't playing for this reason, obviously none as important as at the qb position, but would hate to not be able to see them play for this reason. Especially at D-Line.
