I have been heart broken so many times on NSD. In fact, I usually have some sort depression after NSD.

That said, I think LSU has made every effort to get this guy in this signing class. If he signs elsewhere, so be it. Honestly, this is how I should look at all LSU recruits, I just don't...I'm a sore loser.

BK just leaves nothing to question. So if it doesn't work out that he dons the P&G, I'm very confident that no stone was left unturned to land this particular recruit.

Is this what it feels like to have competent coaching?

It is.

And if we don't get him we've got Austin, Toviano and Harris coming, which is enough to restock the corners with Banks and Welch coming back.

And we want want to make a late push on Gavin Holmes, he'll likely come. So we have the ability to replace Ricks with a good player in the signing class.

Kelly does very good roster management. What he did with what he was left with from the previous staff is proof of that.

In this case, I am curious why we wouldnt try our shot with Fentrell Cypress.

The options being:
5* HS recruit who can transfer on a whim.

vs

5* Transfer recruit with 3 years remaining and has to sit out a year if he wants to transfer again.

To me, I feel that a transfer with 2-3 years of eligibility is a less risky option to throw your NIL money at bc they can't transfer again easily.

This has been said about a million times through the years with every coach we have had .

I’m very happy with this class already. If we sign all the guys that are committed I’ll be elated. Ricks and a solid DT like Hall would be the icing on the cake. But if Ricks rolls with the tide, guess what. We take Denver Harris who’s a day 1 starter. Getting both would be insane. I’m down for insanity, but won’t let the expectation of insanity drive me insane.

Ricks will be driving a new charger. Hate to say it but these things never work out for LSU

I feel like we’re 0 out of 100 in these types of up in air recruits historically, but things are different with BK.

Even if he doesn’t sign with us it’s like a 30% chance he ends up here

I'd hate to see how you'd feel if those signing days had not led to 3 national championships in the last 20 or so years.

It's okay. In this day and age. With the portal, a decision tomorrow may be second guessed a year from now, ala Aaron Anderson.

LSU has laid out the red carpet many many times for recruits only to be left at the altar. Expecting heart break just so it hurts a little less if he commits elsewhere
