Got a speeding ticket from that stupid arse camera they have posted on Hwy 19. What would happen if I never pay it?

Probably the same as BR. Just ignore it and nothing ever happens. My wife probably has 8 of them going back 10 years. None in Baker though.

They don't do anything about them in BR. I'd assume this is a parish wide program but I'm not 100% sure about that.
Nothing happens if you don't pay it, nothing on your credit report, driving record, booting car etc. They just send you a fake ticket hoping they scare enough people into giving them some additional revenue.

True story: Buddy of mine was outside legal counsel for the City of Baker. Handling cases when their regular counsel was conflicted out or whatever. Anyway, I'm riding with him one day, and he passed that speed camera doing 90 or so. Laughed and said there wasn't anything they could legally do to him other than send letters. Later that day we passed it again. This time he pushed his Mercedes over 120 and jetted past that thing. Said he had been doing it for years and there wasn't a GD thing Baker could do about it.
Of course YMMV, but from what I've heard, it's set up as a cash grab. Collect money from those who don't know better and (eventually) write off those who do.

Exactly what I thought too, but the gf feels differently. I kind of want to call them and give them a piece of my mind as to what I think about this unconstitutional tax they’re doing on us. They just need more welfare money for their people to go and shoot each other.

I wonder what percentage of these “tickets” are paid. Outside of New Orleans, I do not know anyone who has paid one of the camera tickets they received in the mail.

For red light tickets, correct. However, this happened in Baker and for a cam, speeding ticket. Might want to consult Counsel, and if need be, pay $250 or so to make this shite go away.

Some of my wife's go back a decade. They just send you a few letters from some attorney's office in Arizona or something. Eventually those stop too.
It's a racket. They have no proof who was driving the vehicle. If fewer people paid them they'd end the program.

I assumed that it was the same program although I'm not 100% sure about that. BR doesn't have the speeding ones.

I’d think the shithole of Baker would have bigger things to worry about than speeding tickets. Like murderers and gang bangers but whatever they can get from whitey is a good thing.
