Probably more about retirement than anything else
If I was a coach I would get that 30 year retirement
CHS almost lost baseball coach a few years back to Live Oak over same reason

Serious question…is the Central job more appealing than Catholic? If so, why?

I guess it kind of depends. There is money and benefit stuff. There is a direct comparison of the programs in terms of support and ability to win and all of that stuff.

There's also, you might want to live in Central stuff. Where you can live in BR in relation to CHS and where you can live in Central in relation to Central may be just as much of a part of this as comparing the two high school football programs.

Brew
Sid
Weiner

I’d be happy with any one of the three.

That OT win against St. James in the second or third game that year was something else.

I don’t think Brew or Weiner Jr are going anywhere. I could be wrong.

Isn’t Central an ISD? How does that affect retirement?

it's also increasingly difficult and high maintenance to coach at private schools as nationwide their enrollment declines coupled with a trend of giving parents WAY WAY too much input.

You're probably right, but I can always hope.

I don't have any inside info, but JP Kelly (former AD) and Brew where pretty tight when we were in school. That MAY (not likely when considering retirement, etc.) sway things.

Of the 3 (Brew, Weiner and Sid), my choices would be Brew, Sid and Neil, respectively.
