That would explain a lot

You kinda have to make physical contact for it to be physical contact.
This isn’t your best argument. I highly doubt she snatched glasses out of his hands with out making physical contact lol. Like it’s the game Operation.

For example, when he slapped her face and knocked her glasses off, he made physical contact.
Maybe he slapped only her glasses! See? Bad.
“Don’t strangle your fiancée from behind even if she’s being a bitch” is a nice, simple argument.

And forcibly taking something out of someone’s hands doesn’t meet that criteria. Is that right?
You made this part up.
And no, based on Texas law, it does not. Poking someone in the chest in order to provoke a reaction can be assault by contact, but you just prove it was done in order to provoke his actions.

It should be, but we have incels like tuscaloser here crying otherwise.

Oh. Did he hand her the glasses or did she take them out of his hands?

To be clear, you’re of the belief that forcibly removing an object from someone’s hands is not considered initiating physical contact?

Yeah, Beard welcomed Arterio Morris back with no punishment or games missed and was mostly swept under the rug. Imagine that. Culture of it there now.
quote:
Frisco, Texas police arrested and charged Texas men's basketball commit and 5-star guard Arterio Morris on June 2 with a Class A misdemeanor for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.
Per an arrest affidavit obtained by Brian Davis of the Austin-American Statesman, who reported the details Friday, Frisco police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance stemming from allegations that Morris had a physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Caden Barnes.
Case is still open, hearing in a few weeks…
Police reported seeing a 3-inch abrasion on the woman's neck and arrested Morris on a charge of assault causing injury to a family member, which includes dating relationships in Texas. The charge is a Class A misdemeanor that carries up to one year in jail and up to $4,000 in fines if convicted.
