There were a lot of stupid arse call made by the refs. The game may have been closer than what it was.

No, despite the blatant cheating, UGA was three scores better than LSU. UGA would beat LSU 10/10 times, with the closest game likely being LSU losing by a TD.

The aTm game, despite not having as many egregious calls as the SECCG, was the game that would have been much closer without the blatant cheating. Again, LSU may still lose that one, but the refs were directly responsible for taking away at least 12 points from LSU on three drives, one where LSU scored a TD.

The FG debacle changed the momentum and is the reason we lost imo. nWe never had a chance after that. Similar to the Tennessee opening kickoff fumble.

I agree with EZE here.

I think there are a lot of people saying we are a few fluke plays from it being 37-30. I think UGA plays the game a lot differently if those two plays don't go their way, meaning it's probably closer to 37-21.

The refs made some weird calls but I don't think any of them were so bad that the outcome of the game changed.

Agree..it obviously showed that special teams never practiced that, but that’s basic football in regards to the blocked field goal. BK should be up in the Special Teams Coach.

Should the blocked kick not have been blown dead once the ball came to a rest? The UGA player stood over the ball for 2-3 seconds after it stopped.

Yeah, you're right. I must have watched it in slow-mo before. It looks like it quit rotating for like half a second before he picks it up but not enough time to blow it dead.

The blocked fg and getting stuffed on 4th and 1 were the biggest factors. Both essentially were at the least 10 pt swings...possibly 14 on the 4th down. They definitely could've impacted how the game played out afterwards

The ball has to stop moving =, not stop rolling. While it is rocking back and forth, it is still moving. That ball was still moving.

No matter how good LSU was that day they were not going to let LSU win that game. It was blatant on the opening kickoff when the guy tackled the returner before he touched the ball and no flag was thrown.

If we were playing the Gumps, then I would agree. Just kidding.

There were a few ridiculous calls/non calls. Targeting was the worst and most obvious I've seen since PPs interception...

The pass interference that wasn't and the blocked kick where the ball came to rest were just a couple of a series of obviously bad calls.

There were two of those actually. One was the egregious interference v. Nabors on the left sideline.

The other occurred on a play right before the blocked FG. Bech was literally tackled on a crossing route right by the goal line. A striped shirt was barely 2 yards away.

Seeing eye dog didn't bark, so no foul.

Yet putting two hands on the ball while it is on the ground stopping it does not make a difference?

Yeah…made me ask, what the hell is considered targeting?? To the point the guy is unconscious??

The refs and oversight committee should be fired, and probably sued for this absurd BS.

What about player safety and all the calls made in error (i. e. far too much leaning to calling targeting when it is not) to protect the player. Think Devin White QB hit that was 100% legal to remove him from the first half of Bama game.

No. It was a live ball even though it stopped moving.

- a blocked FG is a live ball for the defense
- a blocked FG is a dead ball once the offensive team touches the ball

I look at The field goal Debacle the bad throw by JD 5 on the interception. The no call on the deep ball pass interference. And the Insane low block call as the big turning points.

Not if you pick it up in the process.

ETA: Actually, the ball is live and if a member of the receiving team puts two hands on it but doesn't pick it up it is now live for the kicking team to recover it. If a member of the kicking team touches it first, it is a dead ball.
