Today's music sucks. Nothing will ever compare to the 60s. So many great historic rock bands. I can't even think of a great rock band these days outside of the Foo Fighters.
Foo Fighter are not a great rock band. Sure Dave Grohl is a nice guy but please. Great? Spoon, Angel Olsen, Big Thief, Ryan Adams, The Smile, Ty Segall, Bill Callahan, The Arcs, Amyl and The Sniffers, Andrew Bird, Kevin Morby, The Black Keys, and King Gizzard all put out good albums this year. Well, King Gizzard probably put out about 8 this year. Then you have old favs Ozzy, Megadeath, Pixies, Tears For Fears, Built To Spill. All is not lost but you have to wade through the crap to find it (crap being Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande etc.).

I dunno, I think they're great. I love a lot of their songs.

I think you’re confusing “great rock band” with “put out a great album.” Those things are not equal.
Also, regardless of whether I like the Foo Fighters or agree that they are the premiere musical act of the 21st century, they’ve probably sold more albums than all of the artists you listed combined. They have been a staple on rock and alt rock channels for 25 years and consistently play to sold out arenas and festivals. I think the black keys are the only artist on your list that comes close.
Does popularity equal greatness? No, but it’s a far better indicator than anything listed in your post.
