If I understand correctly the highest ranked non-playoff SEC team goes to the Sugar Bowl. Even if LSU were to win tomorrow would we jump that many spots to get back ahead of bama?

If the SEC champion is not in the playoff. Otherwise, the SEC Champ goes to the sugar.

If LSU wins they are the SEC Champion and goes to the Sugar automatically as the SEC Champ, if they are not in the CFP, which they won't be from the A&M loss
