STM DB climbed back of WR and returned int for TD

bullshite. Ball was behind the receiver and DB has just as much right to catch the ball as the receiver. Receiver was reaching back for the ball with one hand when DB came from behind and made the pick 6.

Usually hat someone went out of bounds

Ever witnessed a WR run out of bounds for about 5 yds; ref throws hat; WR comes back in bounds catches pass, ref calls it a catch then runs over & picks up his hat as though nothing happened?
The 200 yds is probably accurate but I haven't seen the box score. I don't know how the LCA coaches kept it together.

did he go out on his own or was he pushed or knocked out?

He wasn't pushing but the defender was running step for step squeezing the WR to the boundary & WR was trying to get around. The official was right there, eyes on the players when he threw the hat. He could have simply not thrown the hat if he thought the WR was forced out.

I saw the replay about 10 times on tv last night.

ETA: I wasn’t responding to your comment. You’re always unbiased on here.

Are we even talking about the same game?

I’ve known Brew since college many people on here I’m sure have grown up with him and know him much better than me. He is a great guy and an excellent coach. Catholic will never hire him. Even though he is an alum he doesn't fit their mold.

Uh…Catholic wanted him last time they hired a coach. He turned them down to stay at Zachary

200 yards in penalties is keeping it together?

Ref clearly throws this flag to keep Curtis in the game. Happens at every level when teams start to pull away. Don’t think this ref anticipated the game turning as fast as it did because Catholic was absolutely dominating to this point, and this call was the turning point.

A ref didn't his arse beat so I'd say it's keeping together. That game was close to getting out of hand.

most unsportsmanlikes dont show up in hudl. but the rest no comment because if a ref was lucky to not to get beat up and a team has that many fouls... not worth any more comment from me.

Doesn’t fit their mold???? And a former Parkview “Baptist” Eagle, who is and acts as backwoods & from the sticks as you can get ….does fit the Catholic High “ mold”?

Brilliant take.

At least Brew, Weiner & Sid “knows the mold” that CHS is looking for

Brew may have become Zackree-fied, but he could & would be proud to rep his alma mater

He did so for a smart reason, get his state benefits - once that is met, and if he doesn’t feel like retiring, he will definitely think harder about any offer from CHS

Quick question about parking next week. Looks like no reserved parking in the Dome. Is it open for first come/first served? Does it fill up usually?

There is a reserved section for team coaches, officials, lhsaa invitees and NFHS people. but it's first come first serve. parking lot was not full for 5a game last year (one of the highest attended in years.
