2nd straight year with the artificial tree

And it’s so easy. I highly recommend. No more paying $150 for some shite tree. 8ft artificial prelit tree is where it’s at. Goes up easy, no mess, looks great. The only thing it lacks is that Christmas tree smell but that’s small potatoes.

I switched two years ago and haven’t looked back either. Get some of those plug in glade scent devices that smell like pine and you’ll never miss the real thing.

Light a candle for that

they sell that in a can or candle. Your choice.
Haven't had a real tree since 1994. It was a mess even as a kid. Nasty water, crap falling out everywhere...
Think my cousin had one once that had bugs in it.

I switched to artificial 12 years ago and it’s amazing.

Team Real Tree. This is my Alamo. My wife has tried to get a fake tree. If she does then we will have two Christmas trees

Home Depot/Amazon sell these. They have little wire hooks so you can hang them on your tree.

Luckily both my wife and I are the same. And we get the fattest 12 footer we can find. This year it’s 12 ft tall and 7.5 feet wide.

Big enough for a whole family of squirrels and hoard of roaches. Goodluck with that crap

Yep. Our house had 18ft ceilings. The artificial prelit skinny tall tree is the way to go.

Jenkins family staying true to our tradition

Haven’t tried the candles or scent devices mentioned, but a real wreath or two helps. And much easier cleanup after New Years

I hear this a lot, but in 10 years of doing this, I haven’t had the first bug or rodent issue. Maybe it’s that I keep my house clean.
ETA: the added benefit is post Christmas, we always do a property cleanup followed by a big arse bonfire. The tree serves as the base to the fire.

Google:
"A Christmas tree's thick branches and tree stand full of water provide the perfect harborage and moisture source for large roaches, such as American and smoky brown roaches. Hidden amongst the branches is an insect that may go unseen, called the Christmas Tree aphid, Cinara spp."
No thank you.

We decided on keeping it real again this year, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t peek at a few artificial trees for the very first time.

Let me give you baws a game changer. Put casters on the bottom of it. Leave that shite decorated and roll it into the closet every year. Plug N Play

Every time I put up the artificial tree I always laugh at how stubborn I was about getting a real tree and the BS I went through to get it in and out of the house every year.
